There are a few questions we get asked more often than not that we will hopefully now be able to answer for you. Two prominent questions are :
“How do I become a qualified auto electrician?”
“Will I become a qualified auto electrician after completing a Kigima Course?”
Let’s start by answering the second question. NO, you will not become a qualified auto electrician after completing a Kigima course. You can ONLY become a qualified auto electrician by completing a 4 year apprenticeship and successfully passing a Trade Test.
Why take a Kigima Course?
Kigima courses are short courses and designed for people already in the auto electrical field, for people wanting to do certain aspects of auto electrical (without becoming a qualified auto electrician) or to be taken in addition to an existing apprenticeship to boost knowledge and skills. Our C9 Trade Test Preparation Course offers a refresher course prior to taking a trade test. Registration requirements for the C9 course are that you have a trade test date as issued by a registered Trade Test Centre.
